Dr Sarah Johnson General Practitioner
Dr Sarah Johnson grew up in South Australia and trained locally at Flinders University. After working for two years in Adelaide, she had a wonderful time travelling around Australia, working in surgical departments across the country. Following her travels, she chose to pursue a career in general practice with a focus on skin cancer and other skin conditions.
Dr Johnson is on the verge of completing an advanced certificate in skin cancer medicine through the Australasian College of Dermatologists and has plans to pursue further studies in this area. She is very happy to perform full skin checks for patients and is skilled in surgical procedures, including cosmetic removals of benign skin lesions and skin cancer excisions. She also employs non-surgical methods to manage precancerous sun damage to the skin.
Additionally, Dr Johnson has completed training for Implanon insertion and removal and has developed advanced skills in ultrasound-guided removal of deep Implanons and other foreign bodies. While no referral is required to see Dr Johnson, she welcomes referrals from other GPs or specialists for procedures such as iron infusions (with or without ultrasound), ultrasound-guided phlebotomy, and various skin surgeries.
Outside of medicine, Dr Johnson enjoys many forms of embroidery, sewing, and walking.
